Auf dem europäischen Festland ist nur Russland offen im Krieg mit Frankreich. Theoretisch bleiben die anderen Mächte, Österreich, Preußen und die deutschen Staaten, noch Verbündete. Kann der Kaiser eine neue Armee rekrutieren und genügend militärischen Erfolg sichern, um seine Verbündeten zu überzeugen, standhaft zu bleiben; oder werden sie, gestärkt durch den russischen Vorstoß, sich gegen die Franzosen wenden? "1813: Napoleons Nemesis" simuliert diese faszinierende Kampagne, die die Form des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts Europa bestimmte. Das Spiel (entworfen von Steve Pole) "1813: Napoleons Nemesis" hat einen strategischen Umfang. Kampfeinheiten repräsentieren alle Divisionen (kategorisiert als Veteranen, Linie oder Rekruten), die an der Kampagne teilgenommen haben, zusammen mit den wichtigsten Kommandanten. Die Grundregeln sind einfach und können sehr schnell erlernt werden, wodurch die Zeit minimiert wird, die die Spieler mit dem Regelbuch verbringen müssen. Optionale Regeln und erweiterte Regeln (einschließlich Karten) fügen noch mehr Realismus und ein Gefühl für die Epoche hinzu.
