Beschreibung

Airborne Commander ist ein Solo-Kartenspiel aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, das die Aktionen der 101. Luftlandedivision zur Unterstützung der D-Day-Landung darstellt. Beginnend mit einem Startdeck von nur wenigen Männern, ein paar Unteroffizieren und einem Leutnant, tritt man gegen das deutsche Deck an, während man verzweifelt versucht, mehr Karten aus der Abwurfzone zu rekrutieren, um seine Truppe für Angriffe auf Ziele aufzubauen. Punkte werden für das Besiegen von feindlichen Karten und das Erreichen von Zielen verdient, aber der Kampf kann zu verlorenen Karten und einer Verdünnung des Decks mit unorganisierten Karten führen, was ein spannendes "Deck-Überlebens"-Erlebnis bietet. Der Kampf umfasst Kleinwaffenfeuer, Unterdrückungsfeuer, Bazookas, Gammon-Granaten, Panzerabwehrkanonen, indirekte Artillerieunterstützung und Luftangriffe. Deutsche Karten repräsentieren die tatsächlichen Kräfte und das Terrain, einschließlich Personal aus Ostbataillonen und statischen Divisionen, gepanzerten Fahrzeugen, STUGs, Bunkern, Rommels Spargel und überfluteten Feldern. Die Zielkarten repräsentieren die tatsächlichen Straßen, Schleusen, Artilleriestellungen, Hauptquartiere und andere Standorte, die zugewiesen wurden und einzigartige Merkmale aufweisen. Weisen Sie Ihre Luftlandetruppenkarten einem der drei Bereiche zu: dem Schlachtfeld, dem Unterstützungsbereich oder der Reserve. Wiegen Sie die Kosten, Zeit mit Ihren Soldaten zu kaufen, gegen Rückschläge, um mehr und besser ausgerüstete Männer zu bekommen. Nehmen Sie den Mörser aus der Abwurfzone wegen seiner Feuerkraft oder einen hochrangigen Offizier wegen seiner zusätzlichen Aktionen? Nur der Luftlande-Kommandeur kann entscheiden. Die erste Auflage von Airborne Commander umfasst zwei farbige Decks, die jeweils in einer eigenen Schachtel untergebracht sind.
