Beschreibung

Der Goldrausch von 1849 begann in Coloma, Kalifornien, wo Gold in den Gewässern des American River entdeckt wurde. Als die aufregenden Nachrichten sich verbreiteten, kamen Menschen von nah und fern, wodurch Coloma zu einer der am schnellsten wachsenden Boomtowns im Westen wurde. Ansprüche wurden angemeldet, Häuser wurden gebaut und Geschäfte gegründet.

Im Spiel Coloma bist du ein Pionier, der kürzlich in den Westen gereist ist, um sich niederzulassen und ein Unternehmen aufzubauen. Du kannst dein Grundstück erweitern, indem du Handelsstationen, Hotels, Saloons, Ställe und Außenposten baust, zusätzlich zur Kartierung der westlichen Grenze, der Vermessung von Flüssen, dem Bau von Brücken und natürlich der Goldsuche. Um das, was dir gehört, zu schützen, musst du und die anderen Stadtwächter eure Waffen ziehen und die Gesetzlosen abwehren, die am Horizont lauern!

Das Spiel spielen
In jeder Runde wählen alle Spieler heimlich eine verfügbare Aktion auf dem Brett aus, die sie ausführen möchten. Wenn jedoch zu viele Spieler dieselbe Aktion wählen, gehen sie "pleite" und führen eine geringere Version der Aktion aus! Sobald alle Aktionen gelöst sind, wird ein Abschnitt des Bretts gedreht, wodurch sich die verfügbaren Aktionen für die nächste Runde ändern. Erfahrene Spieler müssen ihren Fokus zwischen ihren eigenen Zielen und denen ihrer Gegner aufteilen, um erfolgreich zu sein. Strategische Voraussicht und raffinierte Taktiken können dich von deinen Mitpionieren abheben...

Spielmechaniken umfassen: gleichzeitige Aktionsauswahl, Tableau-Bau, Arbeiterplatzierung und Ressourcenmanagement. Da viele der Aktionen der Spieler gleichzeitig ausgeführt werden können, bewegt sich das Spiel schnell trotz seiner Tiefe.
