Beschreibung

Frosthaven ist die Geschichte eines kleinen Außenpostens weit im Norden der Hauptstadt White Oak, eines Außenpostens, der kaum den harten Wetterbedingungen und den Invasionen von sowohl bekannten als auch unbekannten Kräften überlebt. Dort wird eine Gruppe von Söldnern am Ende ihrer Kräfte helfen, diese Siedlung vom Rand der Zerstörung zurückzubringen.

Sie müssen sich nicht nur mit den harten Elementen auseinandersetzen, sondern es gibt auch andere, weitaus gefährlichere Bedrohungen in der unerbittlichen Kälte. Es gibt Algox, die größeren, yetiähnlichen Cousins der Inox, die von den Bergen angreifen; Lurkers, die aus dem nördlichen Meer strömen; und Gerüchte über Maschinen, die aus freiem Willen durch die gefrorenen Ödlande wandern. Die Gruppe von Söldnern muss all diese Gefahren meistern und vielleicht dabei Frieden mit diesen neuen Rassen schließen, damit sie gemeinsam gegen noch sinisterere Kräfte arbeiten können.

Frosthaven ist ein eigenständiges Abenteuer des Designers und Verlegers von Gloomhaven, das sechzehn neue Charaktere, drei neue Rassen, mehr als zwanzig neue Feinde, mehr als einhundert neue Gegenstände und eine neue Kampagne mit 100 Szenarien bietet.

Neben den bekannten Kampfmechanismen von Gloomhaven wird Frosthaven auch viel mehr außerhalb des Kampfes zu bieten haben, wie zahlreiche Rätsel zu lösen, ein saisonales Ereignissystem zu erleben und die Kontrolle der Spieler darüber, wie sich dieses heruntergekommene Dorf ausbreitet, wobei jedes neue Gebäude neue Möglichkeiten zur Weiterentwicklung bietet.

Charaktere und Gegenstände aus Gloomhaven können in Frosthaven verwendet werden und umgekehrt:

Wie während der PAX 2020 enthüllt wurde, wird Frosthaven mit dem ursprünglichen Gloomhaven-Brettspiel austauschbar sein. Bis zu einem gewissen Grad, jedenfalls. Das heißt, Sie können die Charaktere von Gloomhaven in Frosthaven verwenden und umgekehrt. Darüber hinaus werden einige der Gegenstände des ersten Spiels im Laufe der Fortsetzung verfügbar sein.

Frosthaven hat ein ganz neues Set von Gegenständen, aber es gibt einen Mechanismus, um Gegenstände aus 'Gloomhaven' zu bringen. Da es sich jedoch um einen abgelegenen Ort handelt, werden diese Produkte importiert und sind nicht standardmäßig verfügbar. Ressourcen sind viel wertvoller und Sie müssen Gegenstände über ein Crafting-System herstellen, anstatt sie einfach zu kaufen.
