DIESES SPIEL IST EINE NEUIMPLEMENTIERUNG VON AGE OF EMPIRES III. Age of Empires III (2007, Tropical Games) ist eines der ersten und immer noch eines der besten Brettspiele für die Platzierung von Arbeitern aller Zeiten. Es ist seit 7 Jahren nicht mehr im Druck, was viele Fans und Kritiker dazu veranlasst hat, eine neue Auflage des Spiels zu fordern. Als die Rechte an dem Spiel von Eagle Games gekauft wurden, stellte sich die Lizenzverlängerung des Namens von Microsoft als zu teuer heraus, sodass das Spiel in Glenn Drover's Empires: Age of Discovery (EAOD) umbenannt wurde, aber nie neu aufgelegt wurde. Anfang 2014 bat Eagle Games Freiwillige aus der BGG-Community, die das Spiel wirklich bewunderten und es viele Male gespielt hatten, mit dem Designer Glenn Drover und dem CEO von Eagle Games, Rick Soued, zusammenzuarbeiten, um sich vorzustellen, wie eine neue Deluxe-Version von AoE III aussehen könnte, und ihnen bei der Umsetzung zu helfen. Nach fast einem Jahr Arbeit, das letzten Monat mit dem NEUEN Regelbuch gipfelte, wurde dieser Visionierungsprozess abgeschlossen. Empires: Age of Discovery, entworfen von Glenn Drover, ermöglicht es Ihnen, die Ära der Erkundung und Entdeckung erneut zu besuchen. Übernehmen Sie die Rolle einer Kolonialmacht, die im Neuen Land nach Ruhm, Ehre und Reichtümern strebt. Während Sie durch drei Epochen fortschreiten, werden Sie Entdeckungsreisen starten, Regionen kolonisieren, Ihre Handelsflotte erweitern, Kapitalgebäude errichten, die Ihrer Nation besondere Vorteile verschaffen, Ihre Wirtschaft entwickeln und, falls nötig, Krieg erklären. HINWEIS: Diese Deluxe Edition enthält die Empires: Builder Expansion sowie deren Kapitalgebäude. Die National Advantage-Plättchen wurden in die neuen Spielerboards integriert.
