Beschreibung

In Tara strebt jeder Spieler danach, Ard Ri oder Hochkönig von Irland zu werden. Durch das Spielen von Karten, die Ihre Unterstützer repräsentieren, und die Verwendung von 'Cumals' (ein Cumal ist drei Kühe wert), versuchen Sie, Ihre Anhänger von Bauern zu Hirten, über Krieger zu Häuptlingen und schließlich zum regierenden König in der Region zu befördern.

Tara wird in Runden von drei Karten gespielt. Eine Runde ist abgeschlossen, wenn jeder Spieler drei Karten verwendet hat.

Zu Beginn des Spiels teilt der Startspieler jedem Spieler sechs Karten aus. Jeder Spieler wählt drei dieser Karten für die erste Runde aus und legt die verbleibenden drei Karten beiseite - das zweite Set von drei Karten wird in der zweiten Runde verwendet.

In Ihrem Zug wählen Sie eine Karte aus Ihrer Hand und spielen sie. Dann ist der Spieler zu Ihrer Linken an der Reihe, und so weiter, bis jeder Spieler alle drei Karten in der Hand gespielt hat.

Wenn Sie eine Karte spielen, wählen Sie eine von vier Aktionen:
A Setzen Sie Stücke in eine Region;
B Spielen Sie eine Stein der Bestimmung-Karte, um 2 Stücke in einer Region zu tauschen;
C Legen Sie die Karte ab und zahlen Sie 4 Cumals, um eine Amnestie zu erklären, die alle Gefangenen aus einer Region befreit;
D Legen Sie die Karte ab, um 2 Cumals zu gewinnen.

Wenn Sie Stücke platziert oder getauscht haben, können Sie die Aktivierungskosten der Karte zahlen, um von zwei Ihrer angrenzenden Stücke in den Raum direkt über ihnen zu befördern. Wenn Sie beispielsweise einen Hirten neben einem anderen Ihrer Hirten platziert haben, könnten Sie die Aktivierungskosten zahlen und ein Stück über beide Hirten in den Raum auf der Krieger-Ebene setzen. Das Ziel ist es, einen König in der Region zu gewinnen, indem Sie zum König-Raum befördern.

Durch das Platzieren oder Fördern von Stücken könnten Sie gegnerische Stücke fangen und Ihre eigenen, die zuvor gefangen wurden, befreien.

Nachdem jeder Spieler die drei Karten in der Hand gespielt hat, gibt es eine End-of-Round-Sequenz. Jede Region kann einen Verräter haben. Der Spieler, der den Verräter besitzt, tauscht ein Stück gegen ein Stück eines Gegners und kann dann zahlen, um vom Raum des Verräters zu befördern. Sobald alle Verräter aktiv waren, sammeln die Spieler Einkommen, abhängig von der Anzahl der Stücke, die sie auf dem Brett haben, und ihrem Rang. Dann entfernen Sie Stücke aus jeder Region, die einen neuen König enthält; der Spieler mit dem neuen König errichtet eine Garnison in der Region, Gefangene werden entfernt und ein Austausch oder Lösegeld für Gefangene kann stattfinden. Schließlich wählt der Startspieler einen neuen Startspieler für die nächste Runde. Eine neue Runde beginnt dann, indem die drei Karten verwendet werden, die jeder Spieler beiseite gelegt hat, wenn sie noch vorhanden sind, oder indem jedem Spieler weitere sechs Karten ausgeteilt und in zwei Sätze von drei Karten aufgeteilt werden, wie zu Beginn des Spiels.

Das Spiel geht weiter, bis ein Spieler einen König in zwei verschiedenen Regionen hat.
