Description
This biography of Che has an unprecedented story. The book was published in Argentina in 1968, a year after Guevara's death. In 1973 it was banned. In 1976, the two illustrators, Alberto and Enrique Breccia, to escape the persecutions of the newly born military dictatorship, burned the original boards and buried some copies in the garden. In 1977 the writer, Hector Oesterheld, was arrested and became a desaparecido. In 1987, after almost twenty years of oblivion, the book reappears in Spain and quickly becomes a precious cult object. Today it returns in an enriched and updated version, with a preface that tells the incredible background.
