A supplement to characterize encounters written by Andrea Sfiligoi and Erick N. Bouchard. Enough with the usual goblins! An anti-magic zone in the lair? This volume lets you add small and big twists to encounters with minions and final boss lairs. Create complications and surprises every time: for example, zombies are slow, but this time they managed to surround the group, or the minotaur is tougher than usual because steel bars trap the heroes in its lair... Contents include: • 106 twists for minions and 36 for final boss lairs • 6 secrets of the minions • A quick encounter if the group is captured • New tables “Useful Items,” “Herbal Remedies,” “Gambling,” plus many new monsters, treasures, potions, new rules, equipment, and reactions. To play, only the Four Against Darkness base manual is needed. For advanced rules, Contro l’Abisso is also required.
