Hell's Corner is an ASL historical study released as an insert in Operations Special Magazine #3. It covers the battles that occured along the Matanikau River on Guadalcanal from August to October 1942.
There are five scenarios:
"First Matanikau" is the Marines attempt to secure Matanikau Village shortly after their landing on Guadalcanal.
"Bailey's Demise" recounts the failed attempt by the Marines to dislodge the Japanese from the west bank of the Matanikau.
"Samurai Sunset" features a trapped Japanese Company trying to break out of an encirclement to friendly lines on the west bank of the Matanikau.
"Whaling Good Time" has a group of marines attempting to expand the bridgehead on the Matanikau against a small Japanese rearguard.
"The Sand Spit" depicts a fresh group of Japanese reinforcements with armored support attempting to break the Marine defenses near Matanikau.
