Challenges and riches on the banks of the legendary Rokugan River.
Build your trading empire on the Golden River as you attempt to gain influence at the courts of Rokugan, a legendary realm where divine favour can alter your fate.
Players assume the role of river merchants allied with legendary samurai clans, each vying to exploit the river to gain wealth, glory and wisdom. Will you invest in the development of ports, markets, shrines and more along the banks of the busy river? Or will you rely on navigating the river of gold, increasing your wealth and influence through delivery contracts, visits to nobility, and garnering a little divine favour in hard times?
Each turn, your die roll will present you with three unique opportunities, but you can only choose one: grow your trading empire by building along the river banks, sail your boats to load them with goods and money, or strike a valuable deal with an important patron. If the dice result doesn't fit your plan, you can leverage divine favour to manipulate fate! With the included free mini-expansion, Patrons of the Clans, you will also be able to recruit a legendary patron with powerful new skills that will offer you alternative strategies and methods of victory!
