Jamaica catapults you into the Caribbean as a cunning pirate seeking to gather treasures and reach the finish before others. An adventure game for 2-6 players ages 8+, with games lasting about 45 minutes full of surprises and laughs. The placement and movement mechanic creates intense competition: manage resources, plan your route and interact with other players. Description
In 1675, after a long career in piracy, Henry Morgan skillfully gets appointed Governor of Jamaica, with the explicit order to cleanse the Caribbean of pirates and buccaneers! Instead, he invites all of his former "colleagues" and comrades-in-arms to join him in his retirement, so they can enjoy the fruits of their looting in all impunity. Each year, in remembrance of the "good old days", Morgan organizes the Great Challenge, a race around the island, and at its end the Captain with the most gold in his holds is declared Grand Winner. Jamaica is the new game by S.Pauchon, author of the successful Yspahan, which this time tackles a family game with very simple mechanics, but extremely fun that will be easily played even by more experienced players. It essentially involves making a complete lap around Jamaica, skillfully coordinating the result of the dice roll with your action cards; each player has a hold with 5 sectors to store doubloons, food, and cannons that they will use in turn to advance with their ship or to face opponents.
