Lying Pirates is a fast-paced dice game where the goal is to be the first to finish. You are the captain of your ship and the dice represent your crew. The game plays in several rounds, each consisting of three phases: betting, sailing, and action.
- The betting phase: inspired by the classic Liars Dice game, this poker-like mechanic tests your bluffing and probability skills.
- The sailing phase: all except the loser sail forward on the map and battle for their event/tile. Some events you want to explore, others you want to avoid at all costs.
- The action phase: to aid you on your journey, you have action cards to play strategically to attack opponents, defend, or upgrade your crew.
The game ends when one or more players reach the Start/Finish tile.
