In addition to new creature cards with special effects, The Vale of Eternity expansion also introduces artifacts as a new optional game module. Each round, players choose a different artifact from the display, which grants them various effects, such as expanding their own display. Furthermore, with The Vale of Eternity: Artefakte, shelter markers are also introduced, which can be used to put creatures to sleep or wake them up.
