In Woodcraft, players take on the role of forest inhabitants running competing craft workshops: they gather wood and create artifacts for their clients, hiring helpers, improving their workshop, and buying different types of wood and tools to build the best possible workshop.
During the game, players complete their projects with wood pieces (dice) that can be cut to size, glued, and adjusted by manipulating the dice to be as efficient as possible in resource use. The player who builds the best and most successful workshop wins the game.
