Descriptif

Airborne Commander est un jeu de construction de deck de parachutistes de la Seconde Guerre mondiale en solitaire, décrivant les actions de la 101e division aéroportée en soutien aux débarquements du jour J. Commencez avec un deck de départ composé de quelques hommes, de quelques sous-officiers et d'un lieutenant, et affrontez le deck allemand tout en essayant désespérément de recruter plus de cartes de la zone de largage afin de renforcer votre force pour des assauts contre des objectifs. Des points sont gagnés pour avoir vaincu des cartes ennemies et pris des objectifs, mais le combat peut entraîner la perte de cartes et la dilution du deck avec des cartes désorganisées, offrant une expérience tendue de "survie du deck". Le combat comprend des tirs d'armes légères, des tirs de suppression, des bazookas, des grenades gammon, des canons anti-tank, un soutien d'artillerie indirect et des frappes aériennes. Les cartes allemandes représentent les forces et le terrain réels présents, y compris le personnel des bataillons Ost et des divisions statiques, des voitures blindées, des STUG, des blockhaus, les asperges de Rommel et des champs inondés. Les cartes d'objectif représentent les véritables chaussées, écluses, positions d'artillerie, quartiers généraux et autres lieux qui ont été assignés et ont des caractéristiques uniques à chacun. Assignez vos cartes aéroportées à l'une des trois zones : le champ de bataille, la zone de soutien ou la réserve. Pesez le coût d'acheter du temps avec vos soldats contre le risque de revers pour obtenir plus d'hommes mieux équipés. Prenez-vous le mortier de la zone de largage pour son pouvoir de feu ou un officier de haut rang pour ses actions supplémentaires ? Seul le commandant aéroporté peut décider. La première impression d'Airborne Commander comprend deux decks en couleur, chacun dans sa propre boîte. Les illustrations des cartes comprennent 40 peintures originales d'hommes en action, d'équipements et de lieux. La deuxième impression d'Airborne Commander comprend deux decks en couleur et des règles dans la boîte.
