Descriptif

Alors que le soleil se lève sur les déserts, les rivières et les oasis du Califat, un équilibre délicat a été rompu. En tant que l'une des nombreuses puissances rivales de la région, vous avez maintenant l'opportunité de modifier le cours de l'histoire et de saisir le pouvoir pour vous-même. Le sultan ambitieux siège dans un palais d'or, présidant de grandes œuvres d'architecture. Le Murshid secret travaille à saper discrètement les autorités centrales à travers un vaste réseau d'agents.

Les tribus errantes des Nomades visent à semer la discorde afin de garantir un emploi à leur population mercenaire expérimentée. Les forces dévastatrices du Seigneur de la Guerre balaient le pays, à la recherche de promesses de pillage. Et, face au chaos et à l'incertitude, le Califat vise à préserver l'ordre par la puissance militaire. Serez-vous capable de naviguer avec succès dans cette toile de rivalités et de monter en puissance, ou vous querellerez-vous avec vos adversaires mineurs et disparaîtrez-vous dans l'obscurité?

Crescent Moon se joue sur trois ans (ou quatre ans dans le long jeu). Chaque année, les joueurs effectueront quatre actions qui peuvent consister à déployer de nouvelles armées, recruter des mercenaires, construire des fortifications et des établissements, conquérir de nouvelles terres, étendre leur influence, et bien plus encore. Chaque personnage a un ensemble unique d'aptitudes et d'actions disponibles, qui façonneront leur jeu, que ce soit le Sultan, qui ne peut pas lever sa propre armée et doit dépendre des mercenaires, ou le Murshid, qui peut utiliser son influence politique pour interférer dans les batailles d'autres personnages. Les joueurs peuvent acheter des cartes de pouvoir puissantes, représentant des stratagèmes, des conseillers avisés et des unités spécialisées sur un marché partagé entre tous les joueurs. À la fin de chaque année, les joueurs marquent des points selon leurs propres objectifs de personnage uniques, et à la fin du jeu, le joueur avec le plus de points gagne.

Crescent Moon est un jeu de contrôle de zone pour quatre ou cinq joueurs. Prenez le rôle de l'un des cinq personnages radicalement asymétriques, chacun avec ses propres objectifs à remplir, des actions uniques à utiliser et des pouvoirs spéciaux qui changent la donne à employer. Établissez des relations symbiotiques avec vos alliés, minez vos rivaux et choisissez vos amis et ennemis judicieusement dans ce jeu impitoyable de pouvoir et de politique.
