Descriptif

Legacy: Gears of Time est un jeu de cartes stratégique, mécaniquement ancré dans son thème de voyage dans le temps. Les joueurs jouent chacun des cartes de leur main, tirent d'une pile centrale, déplacent et jouent des technologies sur une seule ligne du temps, tout en plaçant leurs cubes d'influence sur des technologies existantes.

Legacy se joue sur une ligne du temps qui s'allonge à la fin de chacun des 4 tours. Les joueurs prennent des tours pendant un tour composé de 3 actions chacun. Pendant chaque tour, vous pouvez voyager dans le temps, jouer une carte technologie de votre main, influencer une technologie existante ou tirer deux cartes (en gardant seulement une).

En voyageant dans le temps, les technologies sont jouées depuis votre main en payant leur coût de défausse. Toutes les technologies que vous jouez génèrent automatiquement de l'influence pour vous.

Avoir plus d'influence que vos adversaires est la clé pour revendiquer des récompenses pour une technologie ! À la fin de chaque tour, des récompenses sont données pour chaque technologie et ses dépendances. Un cube d'influence de chaque technologie sera retiré à la fin de chaque tour, formant votre réserve d'influence à utiliser dans les tours futurs pour influencer des technologies existantes. Gardez à l'esprit qu'une technologie n'est considérée comme réussie que si toutes ses dépendances existent auparavant sur la ligne du temps.

Comme il y a plusieurs copies de chaque technologie, vous pouvez être en mesure de devancer et d'éliminer une copie existante en jouant la vôtre plus tôt dans la ligne du temps ! Assurez-vous qu'il y a de la place pour votre nouvelle technologie, cependant ; chaque période a une capacité égale à sa distance du présent.

Il y a aussi quelques cartes de destin rares mais puissantes, chacune vous permettant de briser les règles de manière intéressante. Les cartes de destin n'ont pas de coût de défausse et ne nécessitent pas d'action pour être jouées.

En influençant stratégiquement les technologies existantes, en vous adaptant aux actions de vos adversaires et en choisissant soigneusement quand remonter plus loin dans le temps, vous vous retrouverez victorieux sur vos rivaux ! L'histoire reste intacte jusqu'à ce que la Machine Ancienne exige que vous retourniez dans le passé pour reconstruire l'histoire, et votre Héritage, une fois de plus.
