Battle for Baghdad ist ein einzigartiges Mehrspieler-Spiel, in dem die Spieler verschiedene Fraktionen vertreten, die um die Kontrolle über die Regierung des Irak während der US-Besatzung kämpfen. Das Spiel betont die Rollen und Fähigkeiten der verschiedenen beteiligten Fraktionen und zeigt, wie asymmetrische Fähigkeiten genutzt werden können, um günstige Ergebnisse zu erzielen.

Die Spielfläche besteht aus Satellitenbildern der Stadt Bagdad, und jede Komponente wurde sorgfältig auf Authentizität recherchiert. Für drei bis sechs Spieler ist das Brettspiel von moderater Komplexität.
