Beschreibung

Swords and Bagpipes erzählt die Geschichte der Konfrontation zwischen England und Schottland. Es ist der Erste Schottische Unabhängigkeitskrieg. Der Sieg ist nur möglich, wenn sich alle Clans vereinen!

Aber schottische Aristokraten ziehen oft persönlichen Reichtum dem Kampf um die Freiheit vor. Gleichzeitig zahlt König Edward I. von England, auch bekannt als Hammer der Schotten, großzügig an diejenigen, die sich auf seine Seite schlagen!

In jeder Runde dringt die englische Armee in die Ländereien Schottlands ein. Die Spieler übernehmen die Rollen von schottischen Clanführern. Sie stellen Truppen ein und schicken sie in die Schlacht. Dann entscheidet jeder Rivale heimlich, welche Seite er unterstützen wird: England oder Schottland. Die Wahlmarken werden gleichzeitig umgedreht. Jede Seite summiert ihre Stärken (die Verräter schließen sich der englischen Armee an). Dann wird die siegreiche Seite der Schlacht verkündet.

Swords and Bagpipes basiert auf dem berühmten Gefangenendilemma. In der Regel bringt Verrat mehr Gold. Am Ende gewinnt der reichste Spieler das Spiel! Wenn England jedoch Schottland erobert, ist der Gewinner nicht der reichste Spieler, sondern der Spieler, der am wenigsten verraten hat. Da Schottland besiegt, aber nicht gebrochen werden kann, müssen sich seine Clans um den loyalsten Clan versammeln!

Erinnern Sie sich an den Film Braveheart mit Mel Gibson? Freiheitsliebende Patrioten, korrupte Aristokraten und die Grausamkeit des englischen Königs. All das ist im Spiel enthalten, und das werden die Teilnehmer erleben!
