This new deck is based on the popular novel by HP Lovecraft, which recounts the terrifying expedition to Antarctica by an exploration team from Miskatonic University. The deck reflects the contents and characters of the original story, dedicating the Jacks to the members of the exploration: Paboodie, Lake, Danforth and Dyer. Once they find the fascinating alien city hidden behind the mountains, the explorers discover its history through the engravings on the walls. They tell of remote wars with the Star-Spawns of Cthulhu, the Mi-Go and other creatures that are reflected in the Queens of the deck. The Kings are reserved for the terrible primordial creatures that the explorers will find still alive in the alien city. The Elder Thing, which they first locate frozen and end up coming to life, the giant albino penguins and the fearsome Shoggoth from which they end up fleeing in terror, with their last breath of sanity. This deck, once again, is presented in high quality finishes, with printing on 320gsm German linen finish paper, and two different editions, normal and deluxe.
