Description Description

The Deck of Mysterious Objects is a supplement for Bluebeard’s Bride that includes 48 illustrated objects, three deluxe ring cards, five double-sided turn order cards, and instructions for creating your own mysterious objects. Read these cards aloud and watch your players squirm in their seats as they search Bluebeard’s haunted mansion. Bluebeard’s house is full of the strange, the cryptic, the mysterious, waiting to be discovered by the bride. But populating the house with so many curios can be a strain on the Groundskeeper, the player running the game. This Deck of Objects is a play aid designed to help the Groundskeeper place the perfect objects in the house while keeping the tension high. Each illustrated card features all the information needed to bring the item into play, including the themes of the object and where to place it in the manor. Examples include: Hourglass: The clear hourglass filled with pristine white sand is bracketed by a marble top and base. The six rods connecting the top and bottom each feature a glorious angel carved from ivory. There is a sliver of rolled up yellowed parchment sticking in the sand. You can fully read one word, "Help." Absinthe Bottle: The green glass is smooth beneath your fingertips. The flourishes of the label, shaped into the glass itself, are the only interruption to that curved plane. The liquid inside nearly fills the bottle, but the cork, the spoon...they speak of having been opened time, and time, and time again. Porcelain Doll: A fragile doll, seated with legs splayed. Her hair is a brilliant yellow, and her eyes a blazing blue. Perfect rosy circles dot her cheeks. Her dress is a pleasant blue that matches her eyes, except for the embroidered green pelerine collar. Her headband is vibrant red, adorned with fake flowers. Bluebeard’s Bride is based on the Powered by the Apocalypse system used in Apocalypse World, Monsterhearts, Urban Shadows, and more. Bluebeard’s Bride produces adult feminine horror fiction like Crimson Peak, American Horror Story, or The Company of Wolves, making it fun for horror fans and dark fairy tale fans alike. 3-5 players | One-Shot Play | 2-4 hour sessions | Rated Adults Only | Powered By the Apocalypse
