L'ingranaggio - Gioco Di Ruolo (GDR)

L'Ingranaggio is a Necropunk role-playing game. 2080: the world we know has been swept away by an inexorable demographic collapse. In a now crippled Italy, the dramatic shortage of workforce has forced survivors to combine surgery, watchmaking, and thermohydraulics to reanimate corpses as automatons. Births are near zero, mortality is rampant despite medicine performing miracles: human life is the most sacred and untouchable thing. The body, however, is just a mere tool, something you borrow until your death, and then it will pass to the State, a public good, a machine. A technocratic City-state, an army of soldiers in steam armor, biomechanical corpses employed in every aspect of daily life: L'Ingranaggio blends flesh, steel, and steam and paints a dark, smoky, and once again boundless world. The game system, based on French cards, has elements of deckbuilding and randomness management. Paperback, 228 pages.
