K2 to druga najwyższa góra na Ziemi, a także druga najbardziej śmiertelna. Znana jest jako Dzika Góra, ponieważ zabija jedną osobę na cztery, które osiągnęły szczyt... Teraz twoja drużyna stoi w jej cieniu, gotowa do wspinaczki po sławę i chwałę. Zbyt dobrze znasz niebezpieczeństwa K2. Ekstremalne warunki pogodowe z częstymi i śmiertelnymi burzami, odsłonięte, strome i trudne szlaki oraz brak tlenu czekają na ciebie w drodze na szczyt. Przetestujesz swoje umiejętności wspinaczkowe aż do śmierci, próbując przechytrzyć zmieniającą się pogodę i zawsze martwiąc się o aklimatyzację swoich 2 wspinaczy. Ponadto są inne drużyny gotowe, aby przejąć chwałę dla siebie. K2 to gra planszowa, w której każdy gracz kontroluje zespół 2 wspinaczy, próbując wspiąć się na szczyt K2 i wrócić przed innymi drużynami graczy oraz zanim góra ich zabije. Każdy gracz używa identycznej talii kart. Używasz kart, aby przesuwać swoich wspinaczy po trasie przedstawionej na planszy do gry lub aby aklimatyzować członków swojej drużyny. Możesz także rozstawić namiot i czekać na lepszą pogodę. Musisz starannie wybierać swoją drogę, ponieważ inni wspinacze mogą zablokować twoją drogę, a także obserwować nadchodzącą pogodę, która może obniżyć twoją aklimatyzację do 0, co zabije twoich wspinaczy. K2 to gra zarządzania ręką dla 1-5 graczy, z silną interakcją i niskim czynnikiem szczęścia, trwająca do 60 minut. Temat jest bardzo dobrze reprezentowany przez mechanikę, w tym takie elementy jak zmieniająca się pogoda, brak tlenu i śmierć wspinaczy.
