It is the turn of the 20th century, the golden age of museums. As interest in and accessibility to museums grew exponentially, many institutions experienced an intense period of expansion both intellectually and physically, in search of an expansion of their collections for profit and science.
Each player in Museum starts with a small collection of relics, then must send researchers around the world to discover more. These relics each have a value that indicates either the cost of including them in the museum or how much they contribute to accepting other relics into the museum.
