Descriptif

Menacé par le couronnement de l'Empereur et le déploiement de la Grande Armée face à ses côtes, la Grande-Bretagne a rapidement réagi avec ses méthodes traditionnelles : une flotte hégémonique et des alliés sur le continent assistés par son or ! Napoléon n'a pas d'autre choix ; s'il souhaite garder son trône, il doit écraser cette nouvelle coalition... et bien d'autres ! "Napoleon against Europe" suit l'épopée de Napoléon dans sa tentative de cimenter sa dynastie et de conserver les conquêtes de la Révolution via le moyen de cartes à jouer qui suivent les grands événements et personnalités de cette période passionnante. Le joueur prend en main les destins de l'Empereur et de son ennemi, l'infatigable Albion et ses coalitions successives. Le joueur français n'a d'autre choix que d'imposer sa volonté à toute l'Europe afin d'isoler la Grande-Bretagne par un blocus serré forçant les puissances continentales à reconnaître l'hégémonie française : la décision doit être prise entre la sauvage péninsule ibérique et les steppes de Russie. Chaque camp a son propre paquet de cartes divisé en deux périodes : Épique et les Punitions. Chaque joueur contrôle des flottes navales et des troupes terrestres présentées au niveau des corps d'armée, d'autres unités sont celles de grande renommée de cette période telles que la Cavalerie de la Garde Impériale, la Légion allemande du Roi, etc. La qualité des généraux de chaque camp joue un rôle essentiel dans les opérations. En six tours de jeu par an, les joueurs doivent non seulement avoir une vision à long terme de leurs objectifs mais doivent également démontrer une compétence opérationnelle au cours des campagnes : l'importance des lignes de communication sera fondamentale pour amener leurs armées à la bataille décisive ! Le système de jeu prend en compte les marches forcées, l'attrition, l'évasion, les contre-marches et les interceptions... Dans un immense théâtre d'opérations, chaque camp tentera de saisir l'initiative et chaque année d'équiper des forces permettant de continuer la lutte et de les redéployer avec prévoyance avant de s'engager dans la phase d'opérations : malheureux le joueur qui ne prend pas en compte les distances de communication. Contre l'excellence opérationnelle des Français, la Coalition doit répondre par une vision stratégique à long terme qui lui permettra d'épuiser son adversaire. Maintenant, c'est à vous de décider si l'Aiglon sera Napoléon II ou le Duc de Reichstadt !
