Descriptif

Chaque joueur représente une entreprise minière forant la Terre pour obtenir des ressources. Mais le forage nécessite souvent l'aide d'autres joueurs (de manière forcée ou non). Chacun déplace donc quatre foreuses sur les arcs de la croûte terrestre pour mettre en œuvre avec succès ses mines et extraire un maximum de ressources. Les points de renommée sont acquis en dépensant des matériaux, en remplissant des objectifs et en ayant des majorités de matériaux et d'argent à la fin du jeu.

Objectif du jeu...

Acquérir le plus de points de renommée à la fin du jeu. Il existe trois façons d'y parvenir :

accomplir des réalisations (neuf au total),
faire des investissements,
obtenir des majorités après le jeu.

Gameplay...

Le jeu est divisé en trois phases qui se répètent autant de fois que nécessaire jusqu'à ce qu'une des deux conditions de fin de jeu soit remplie :

une majorité des joueurs a atteint le centre de la terre avec une équipe de forage
un joueur a complété les neuf réalisations.

Ensuite, le tour en cours est complété avant de déterminer le gagnant.

Préparation pour le tour...

Chaque joueur a deux vice-présidents qu'il déploiera pour agir lors de la phase 1, 2 ou 3, afin d'effectuer des actions. L'ordre dans lequel les vice-présidents des joueurs sont déployés est déterminé par une enchère à main fermée.

Phase 1...

C'est la phase principale. Les joueurs déplaceront leurs équipes de forage à raison d'une par tour (il y a quatre tours avant la phase 2). En fonction de la position de votre vice-président, si vous l'avez déployé pour agir dans cette phase, vous pouvez corrompre les équipes de forage adverses (afin de les attirer sur le même carreau que votre équipe de forage active) ou engager un sous-traitant (pour augmenter votre puissance de forage).

Chaque carreau de la croûte terrestre a une valeur indiquant sa résistance au forage. Si la somme des équipes de forage présentes est égale ou supérieure à cette valeur, le carreau est excavé et retourné ; puis tirez une carte d'extraction pour voir quelles ressources vous avez découvertes, qui sont réparties également entre les joueurs ayant participé au forage. Le reste indivisible va à l'un de ces joueurs (priorisé par celui qui a une mine sur le carreau, puis le joueur ayant la plus grande puissance de forage, puis celui qui a déclenché le forage).

Enfin, après les quatre tours, les mines posées sur les carreaux forés fournissent les ressources imprimées au dos du carreau.

Phase 2...

Les joueurs avec un vice-président ici peuvent effectuer des transactions sur le marché, c'est-à-dire qu'ils peuvent acheter ou vendre des ressources.

Phase 3...

Dans cette phase, les joueurs peuvent faire des investissements pour obtenir des points de renommée et améliorer leurs conditions de forage de différentes manières…

augmenter la puissance des équipes de forage (maximum = 4),
placer des mines dans le jeu (maximum trois mines),
améliorer la sécurité des mines (afin d'éviter de gaspiller des ressources au moment de l'extraction),
améliorer le mouvement des équipes de forage.
