Descripción

Mientras el sol se eleva sobre los desiertos, ríos y oasis del Califato, un delicado equilibrio se ha roto. Como una de las muchas potencias rivales en la región, ahora tienes la oportunidad de alterar el curso de la historia y apoderarte del poder para ti mismo. El ambicioso Sultán se sienta en un palacio dorado, presidido sobre grandes obras de arquitectura. El secreto Murshid trabaja para socavar encubiertamente las autoridades centrales a través de una extensa red de agentes.

Las tribus errantes de los Nómadas buscan sembrar discordia para asegurar empleo para su ciudadanía mercenaria experimentada. Las fuerzas devastadoras del Señor de la Guerra barren la tierra, persiguiendo promesas de saqueo. Y, ante el caos y la incertidumbre, el Califato busca preservar el orden a través de la fuerza militar. ¿Podrás navegar con éxito esta red de rivalidades y ascender a la prominencia, o te pelearás con tus adversarios menores y desaparecerás en la oscuridad?

Crescent Moon se juega durante tres años (o cuatro años en el juego largo). Cada año, los jugadores realizarán cuatro acciones que pueden ser desplegar nuevos ejércitos, reclutar mercenarios, construir fortificaciones y asentamientos, conquistar nuevas tierras, expandir su influencia y mucho más. Cada personaje tiene un conjunto único de habilidades y acciones disponibles, que darán forma a su juego, ya sea el Sultán, que no puede levantar su propio ejército y debe depender de mercenarios, o el Murshid, que puede usar su influencia política para interferir en las batallas de otros personajes. Los jugadores pueden comprar poderosas cartas de poder, que representan estratagemas, asesores sabios y unidades especializadas de un mercado compartido entre todos los jugadores. Al final de cada año, los jugadores puntúan según sus propios objetivos únicos de personaje, y al final del juego, el jugador con más puntos gana.

Crescent Moon es un juego de control de área para cuatro o cinco jugadores. Asume el papel de uno de cinco personajes radicalmente asimétricos, cada uno con sus propios objetivos que cumplir, acciones únicas para utilizar y poderes especiales que cambian el juego para emplear. Construye relaciones simbióticas con tus aliados, socava a tus rivales y elige sabiamente a tus amigos y enemigos en este despiadado juego de poder y política.
