History is full of secrets… As they explore an ancient Egyptian tomb, a team of archaeologists and adventurers stumble upon a mystery that History forgot. To uncover the truth, they will have to delve deeper and deeper in the pyramids, dodging deadly traps and fighting back swathes of monsters running after them. Has the old Pharaoh placed a curse on this expedition? Should some secrets remain untold? This story is now yours to complete… Arkeis is a story-driven, cooperative miniature game where players explore ancient Egyptian ruins. The game is meant to be played as a campaign where each decision made and each item recovered may have an important influence on the unfolding story. Each players takes control of an adventurer to explore a modular board figuring the ruins. They can take up to two actions per turn: move, search, assist an ally or fight one of the numerous dangers waiting for them in the tombs! Actions are resolved by dice-rolling, altered by the equipment and character upgrades the adventurers have gathered during the campaign. They can press their luck for more success, but at the risk of being cursed or suffer lasting traumas due to their wounds! Each item (or curse!) will be stored into the character’s own backpack, which can be taken between adventures. Each scenario comes with objectives the players may accomplish during the game. Completing these will reward them with new key items or upgrades that will influence later scenarios.
